Trekking the Great Wall of China for Motherkind
One of our wonderful supporters, Ehsan Khan, previously climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with us in 2014, but is now ready for another adventure in aid of a good cause. He is taking part in our upcoming trek across the Great Wall of China and has recently appeared on Islam Channel and in his local newspaper to speak about his next challenge.
He will be raising money for our Motherkind appeal, which provides pre and post natal maternity services for mothers in Afghanistan and Somalia. In the 31/07/2015 Slough Observer newspaper. he said, "I hadn't heard of anything like the Motherkind appeal before - women in Afghanistan being helped - saving a mother's life and a child's life, it struck a chord in my heart."
During Ramadan, Ehsan helped us organise three dinners which managed to raise an amazing 拢215,000 for Motherkind. He truly is a great volunteer and we wish him the best on his trip to China.
