Qurbani: Meet Goat Herder Labu

This gallery contains 8 images

At ½ñÈÕ´ó¹Ï, we use local, healthy animals for your Qurbani, cared for by local farmers like Labu, a goat herder from Malawi.ÌýThe goats we buy with your Qurbani donations provide Labu with an essential livelihood, helping him to feed and clothe himself throughout the year.

Take a look at how Labu looks after your Qurbani animals, keeping them happy, healthy and strong. Ìý

Labu lives in a nearby village and takes care of animals for a living. For the weeks leading up to Eid, Labu makes sure that these animals are well fed and watered.
Every morning at 5 o’clock, Labu gets up to take the goats out into the field and feed them.
Basking in the sunshine, the goats then settle into the field.
The goats spend the day roaming and relaxing.
After a long day out in the sunshine eating and relaxing, the goats are then taken back to the goat pen.
The goats are given water to drink and then rest in their shelter.
The happy goats go back to relaxing…
Meanwhile, Labu and our staff inspect the animals in the goat pen where they’ll stay till the next morning when Labu gets up to do it all over again!

As you can see, by giving your Qurbani through ½ñÈÕ´ó¹Ï, you’ll not only be feeding widows, orphans and impoverished families on the days of Eid, but you’re also supporting farmers, shepherds and animal caretakers, like Labu, along the way, providing an essential livelihood.

With the money that Labu earns from looking after these goats, he can buy food, clothing and other essentials for himself and his family. For Labu, Eid will be a happy time thanks to Qurbani donations.

So donate today and support local workers like Labu. With prices starting from as little as £35, don’t delay! Make your sacrifice for the sake of Allah (swt) and start your Qurbani journey today.
